Marijuana charge: Frank Sears, 58, of 700 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, was charged Wednesday by Charleroi Regional police with possession of marijuana and public drunkenness for allegedly causing a disturbance at 719 McKean Ave. He was lodged in the Monessen police department lockup because of his level of intoxication. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Two face charges: Charleroi Regional police charged Jared A. Edwards, 33, of Clairton, and Norman W. Thorpe Jr., 41, of 40 Rosewood Drive, Charleroi, with illegal sale or transfer of a firearm and unsworn falsification. Both men are accused of falsifying the application when attempting to purchase a firearm at Tom’s Sport Shop, Charleroi, on different days in November. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Weapons charge: John Camps, 58, of 60 First St., Meadow Lands, was charged Friday by Chartiers police with having a prohibited offensive weapon. Police found a sawed-off shotgun behind a rocking chair at his home while responding to a domestic call Nov. 8. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Two injured: Daphne Tidrick, 32, of 124 Hall Ave., Washington, and an unidentified passenger were injured Tuesday when their vehicle was hit from behind by a tractor-trailer driven by Herbert Rhodes, 56, of Alum Bank, Bedford County, in the 1700 block of Henderson Avenue, Chartiers police said.

Theft, forgery charges: Rachel Kint, 26, of 316 Second St., Marianna, was charged this week by East Washington police with theft and forgery after she allegedly stole an Armani watch valued at $695 from Eric Phillips, 115 North Ave., Feb. 25. She also allegedly stole two checks she cashed for $319. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Truck rolls: William Zediker, 51, of Bentleyville, escaped injury Friday morning when his pickup truck went off Brownlee Road, Somerset, went up an embankment and rolled over, state police said. He will be cited for failure to stay in his lane and not having registration.

Two robbed: Amanda Yater, 740 Ewing St., told Washington police late Thursday that a woman and two men entered her home. The woman demanded she turn over a bracelet. When Yater could not find it, the woman allegedly punched her in the face and took Yater’s cellphone. The two men allegedly stole the wallet of Shawn Randolph of Houston, who was at Yater’s home. Police are continuing the investigation.

Woman assaulted: Jessica Powell, 21, of 127 Maple Terrace, told Washington police early Friday she was assaulted by a man at her home. Powell, who police said was intoxicated, told officers she and the man got into an argument at a bar. Police are continuing the investigation.

Debit card stolen: Rhonda Morris, 1200 Fayette St., told Washington police Thursday her debit card was stolen and used to withdraw $470 from her account. Charges are pending against the alleged thief.
