Monongahela man cited for hit-and-run crash

1 min read

A Monongahela man was cited Saturday morning after state police said he crashed into two vehicles parked outside a Fallowfield Township home before he allegedly drove from the scene.

Police said Robbie L. Alvey, 29, was driving north on Route 481 near Grange Road when he lost control about 5 a.m. and struck a home’s yardmarker in the 1000 block and then struck the two cars parked in the driveway.

Alvey then drove from the area with damage to his car, which Charleroi Area and Monongahela police officers spotted hours later, police said. He faces citations for causing an accident involving an unattended vehicle, speeding and crossing the centerline, police said.

Neither Alvey nor his passenger, David A. Arkovich, 29, of Brownsville, was injured during the incident, police said.
