CLEARFIELD (AP) – Funeral arrangements have been announced for an 18-year-old volunteer firefighter has died six days after a porch roof collapsed on him during a central Pennsylvania house fire.

The viewing for Lawrence Township firefighter Jeff Buck will be Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home in Clearfield. A memorial service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School where Buck had been a student.

Residents in Clearfield County also began keeping their porch lights on as a tribute to Buck beginning Tuesday.

Buck died Monday at UPMC-Altoona.

He was one of three firefighters on the porch when the roof collapsed March 3. The other two were treated and released for minor injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
