Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:
Ashley N. Myers, 25, 404 Lookout Ave., Charleroi; possession of drug paraphernalia and access device fraud; charged Sept. 21; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail with credit for time served, 12 months of probation, 15 hours of community service, restitution and no contact with victim.
William R. Robl, 34, 554 Rural Valley Road, Claysville; retail theft and theft; charged July 15; sentence – 3 years of probation, retail theft counseling, restitution, 100 hours of community service and banned from Walmart.
Jeffrey L. Helon, 29, 2991 Route 136, Finleyville; false reports; charged July 26; 6 months of probation and 15 hours of community service.
Zachary W. Eidens, 23, 1445 Weirton Ave., Washington; receiving stolen property; charged July 11; sentence – 2 to 12 months in jail with credit for time served, restitution and no contact with victim.
Virginia M. Helmick, 50, 541 Euclid Ave., Canonsburg; retail theft; charged June 9; sentence – 18 months of probation, restitution and banned from Buy and Sell Outlet.
William H. Howes, 55, 2414 Sandy Plains Road, Clarksville; receiving stolen property; charged May 20; sentence – 23 months of Intermediate Punishment Program with first 90 days of electronic home monitoring and no contact with victim.
Howard W. Wingrove, 30, 1010 McKean Ave., Charleroi; possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged April 15; sentence – 6 months of probation.
Scott A. Trunzo, 45, 105 W. 11th St., Donora; possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged June 21; sentence – 12 months of probation.
John L. Kosek Jr., 46, 736 Ewing St., Washington; first offense of driving under the influence, accidental damage to unattended property and driving with a suspended license; 6 months of Intermediate Punishment Program with first 30 days of electronic home monitoring, $1,225 fine, 15 hours of community service and 12-month license suspension.
William R. Garrett, 46, 128 Charles St., Washington; second offense of driving under the influence and blood alcohol content .02 or higher; charged Aug. 9; sentence – 6 months of Intermediate Punishment Program, 9 months of electronic home monitoring, $3,250 fine and 12-month license suspension.
Keith Smith, 43, 85 Allen Ave., Donora; second offense of driving under the influence; charged Aug. 1; sentence – 23 months of Intermediate Punishment Program with first 6 months of electronic home monitoring and first 3 months of SCRAM device, $1,500 fine, 18-month license suspension and 12-month Interlock ignition device.
Brian S. Bergstedt, 42, 222 S. Allen Ave., Donora; first offense of driving under the influence; charged March 2, 2014; sentence – 6 months of probation and $300 fine.
Ryan P. Mickoloff, 24, 87 Broad St., Marianna; first offense of driving under the influence; charged April 3; sentence – 6 months of Intermediate Punishment Program with first 10 days of electronic home monitoring, $500 fine and 12-month license suspension.

Douglas E. Todd, 51, 118 E. Main St., Claysville; receiving stolen property; charged April 23, 2013; sentence – 18 months of probation and banned from Walmart.
Amanda F. Terry, 25, 924 Chartiers St., Washington; simple assault; charged Oct. 25, 2013; sentence – 2 years of probation, anger management, restitution and no contact with victim or co-defendant.
Harvey L. Hall III, 47, 84 W. Wheeling St., Washington; simple assault; charged Feb. 2, 2014; sentence – 11 ½ to 23 months in jail with credit for time served and no contact with victim.
Amy M. Zigerelli, 29, 78 Valleyview Road, Scenery Hill; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged April 11; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Carly L. Vodzak, 21, 200 Skyview Drive, Pittsburgh; theft by deception and conspiracy to commit theft; charged July 10; sentence – 12 months of probation, 50 hours of community service, restitution and no contact with co-defendant and Kmart.
Elijah A. Hildebrand, 30, 128 Statement Ave., Washington; theft; charged Nov. 3; sentence – 23 months of Intermediate Punishment Program with first 30 days in jail, restitution and 90 NA meetings in 90 days or other 12-step program.
Julius L. Smith, 24, 309 Dewey Ave., Washington; possession of a controlled substance; charged Oct. 13; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Gnora, 44, 210 W. 11th St., Donora; endangering the welfare of children, first offense of driving under the influence and careless driving; charged Aug. 30; sentence – 6 months of Intermediate Punishment Program with first 30 days of SCRAM device, 23 months of probation and parenting classes.
Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court for first offenses of driving under the influence and were admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to have their records expunged. Admitted were:
