A fire destroyed a garage this morning at 179 Lindley Road, North Strabane Township.

North Strabane Fire Chief Mark Grimm said the fire started shortly before 8 a.m. while the owner of the property was working on a tractor. No injuries were reported.

Grimm said the fire appears to be accidental, although the cause has yet to be determined. Grimm put the loss of the structure somewhere around $200,000. He said it took roughly four hours for crews to put the fire out.

Peters Township and Washington fire departments assisted.
