A free community dinner will be held at Rogersville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday. The meal will include lasagna, salad, garlic bread, dessert and beverages. A spring craft and vendor show will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Center Township fire hall in Rogersville. Admission is free. There will be a door prize and Chinese auction. Food and drinks will be available to purchase. The event is sponsored by Center Township Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. For information, call 724-710-9934 or 724-428-4251.

A children’s Easter egg hunt will be held at 1 p.m. March 29 at Jefferson Community Center.

The children’s committee of Jefferson United Methodist Church will hold an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m., March 29 at Jefferson Community Center. Area children are invited; the hunt will be for children 12 and younger. Older children will be bunny helpers. Participants are asked to bring their own baskets. After the egg hunt, children will be invited to decorate their own cupcake. Participants are asked to reserve a cupcake by calling 304-639-1941. Food and drinks will be provided.

A creamed chicken and biscuit dinner will be held from 12:30 to 5 p.m. April 18 at Mapletown United Methodist Church. The cost of a large portion is $8. A small portion is $4.

Greene County Human Services will host a free three-hour training for caregivers focusing on teaching youth for the 21st century, from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 30, in the 4-H Building at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Information from the county’s drug and alcohol program and Value Behavioral Health will include such topics as learning what is in a youth’s backpack and how to keep medications safe. Foster parents attending will receive three hours towards mandated required hours of training.
