Police beat March 30
Car stolen: Melissa Sue Stech, 272 Redds Mill Road, Fallowfield, told state police March 23 her blue 2003 Dodge Neon was stolen from her driveway. The license is NC80312.
Identity stolen: Luke McClendon, Washington Pike, Independence, told McDonald police Thursday he learned his social security number was used to by someone else when he attempted to file his federal income tax.
Harassment charge: Zachery John Black, 30, of 556 Homeville Road, Jefferson, Greene County, was charged with harassment by state police for allegedly shoving a 34-year-old Jefferson woman during a dispute at his home Thursday. The victim’s head broke a window pane. Black is also accused of putting his hands around her neck. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge D. Glenn Bates.
Windshield damaged: Shelly Lynn Kennedy, 721 Seventh St., Morgan, told state police Thursday vandals broke the windshield on her vehicle.
Hit and run: Thomas A. Savage of Roscoe will be charged by state police with leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly struck another vehicle on Washington Street in Roscoe early Friday and then fled.
Warrant obtained: Tara Holly Konjolka-Brown, 46, of Brownsville, is wanted on a warrant obtained by state police from District Judge Joshua Kanalis on a felony charge of retail theft for allegedly stealing items from Walmart, Daniel Kendall Drive, West Brownsville, March 17.
