Report: Teen dies after house fire in northwest Ohio
TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) – Authorities said a teenager died and another person was injured after a house fire in northwest Ohio.
A Lucas County coroner’s investigator tells The Blade in Toledo a 15-year-old boy died at a hospital after the fire early Saturday. The investigator says the boy was pronounced dead a few hours after the fire was reported around 2 a.m.
The investigator says the injured person was taken to a Michigan hospital. The severity of the injuries wasn’t known.
Fire officials say the two were found in upstairs bedrooms and the home received extensive damage.
An Ohio fire marshal’s spokeswoman referred calls from the Associated Press to Toledo’s fire and police departments, which didn’t immediately return calls for further details.
