Police beat May 3
Citation given: Daniel Earlywine was cited on a nontraffic citation at 9:49 a.m. Sunday. State police said he appeared at Denny’s in Washington wearing only his underwear and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Police are investigating.
Two-vehicle accident: Taneshia L. Berisford, 20, of Wheeling, W.Va., and Cody F. Toland, 22, of Dennison, Ohio, were taken to Wheeling Hospital, W.Va., after an accident Saturday morning at Route 40 and Liberty Road. State police said Berisford failed to stop at a stop sign, striking Toland’s car, which rotated 180 degrees before coming to rest in a parking lot. Berisford was cited for failure to obey stop sign and driving too fast for conditions. The severity of Berisford’s and Toland’s injuries was not known.
