Washington man gets prison sentence

A Washington man pleaded guilty Monday to drug and firearms charges in Washington County Court and was sentenced to 2 ½ to 5 years in prison.
Keith Rosario, 24, pleaded guilty before Judge John DiSalle to carrying an unlicensed firearm and two counts of drug delivery in connection with several criminal cases.
Rosario, of South Main Street., formerly of Canonsburg, pleaded guilty to having an unlicensed .38-caliber handgun after shots were fired May 23, 2013, behind a bar in the 10 block of North Main Street in Washington.
When police arrived, they saw a car driving away from the parking lot. The car drove around a city police cruiser that had emergency lights activated and headed east on East Chestnut before stopping. A . 38-caliber revolver was found under a passenger seat near where Rosario was sitting. Police found five spent .38-caliber casings in the alley a short distance from the bar. Rosario admitted to police he fired the gun in the alley.
Rosario also pleaded guilty to selling 1.7 grams of cocaine to a state police informant in Jollick Manor in Washington and to selling 6.7 grams of marijuana to an informant in a Washington supermarket parking lot in 2011.
