PITTSBURGH (AP) – A suburban man was convicted of robbing 4 older patrons of Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, then gambling away most of the money a short time later.

Twenty-six-year-old Dustin Andrejco Jones, of Braddock, remained jailed after his conviction Thursday on robbery and other charges and must return for sentencing in Allegheny County at a date to be determined.

Police said surveillance video showed Jones circling a casino parking garage in his father’s car before accosting his victims – all older than 60 – between 6:30 p.m. and 2:40 a.m. Jan. 8 and 9, 2014.

One couple chased away Jones and he stole just $37 from his second victim. But police say he took nearly $3,000 from a New York man he hit with a metal pipe, only to lose $2,665 in less than an hour.
