Burgettstown man wanted in assault case
McDonald police obtained an arrest warrant for a Burgettstown man accused of assaulting his girlfriend early Monday morning.
Jason Robert Winner, 27, of 80 Center Ave., is wanted on charges of simple assault and two counts of harassment.
McDonald police were called to Winner’s home about 12:50 a.m. for a reported fight in which the man involved, later identified as Winner, was locked out of the residence. When police arrived, they looked for the man but were not able to locate him. His girlfriend told police Winner was drinking for most of the evening at a Burgettstown bar. When he came home, she was sleeping on the couch with her two children.
Winner reportedly started yelling at the 21-year-old in regard to rumors he said he heard about her at bar, police said. The two started arguing, and Winner allegedly started throwing items in the house, nearly hitting children on the couch.
The girlfriend told police she became angry and threw a fan into the kitchen. Winner allegedly grabbed her by the hair and started hitting her head against a wall, police said. She told police that she had cuts on her forehead, left forearm, wrist and knee. She also was complaining of neck pain.
In March, police were called to the house for a domestic dispute between Winner and the woman.
Anyone with information on Winner’s whereabouts is asked to call McDonald police at 724-926-2105 or call 911.
