Police beat May 12
Minor injuries in crash: A driver and three passengers suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash at 4:45 p.m. May 5 on Route 188. State police said Madison Ludroski, 18, of Rices Landing, lost control of her vehicle, which ran over an embankment and struck several trees. Passengers were Brooke Diamond, 15, of Waynesburg, Kayla Yorko, 17, of Jefferson, and Anna Mattish, 16, of Clarksville.
Driver flees: A side-by-side, all-terrain vehicle being driven through the Walmart parking lot struck a vehicle operated by Robert Price, 43, of Waynesburg at 7:16 p.m. May 1. The driver of the ATV fled, state police said. Jacqueline Davis, 39, of Waynesburg, a passenger in Price’s vehicle, was treated for minor injuries at Southwest Regional Medical Center.
Burglary: Cans of root beer were stolen in a burglary between 3:30 p.m. May 4 and 9 a.m. May 5 at Jefferson Florist on Pine Street. State police said the steering column of a vehicle stored in the basement also was damaged. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call state police at 724-627-6151.
Man charged: Marko Demaske, 52, of 1447 Main St., Jefferson, was charged with scattering rubbish and disorderly conduct following incidents at 11:50 a.m. May 5 at 198 Washington St. State police allege Demaske placed debris, including a trailer, on property owned by Marvin Snyder of Waynesburg and threatened to punch James Airwyke of Aleppo.
One injured in crash: One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 6:50 a.m. May 4, on Route 21. State police said Brian Larch, 40, of Elkview, W.Va., was stopped to make a left turn onto Gwynn Road when his vehicle was struck in the rear by a vehicle operated by James Hall Jr., 26, of Point Marion. Hall suffered minor injuries.
No injuries: No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash at 2:45 p.m. May 5 on Interstate 79. State police said a vehicle operated by Logan Fullmer, 19, of Kingwood, W.Va., struck a guardrail after a rear tire blew out on his vehicle.
Driver fled: The driver of a Jeep Cherokee fled the scene following a crash at 11:40 a.m. May 3, on Rush Run Road, state police said. Police said the vehicle ran off the road and over a steep hill. It struck the far side of a ditch and slid backward into the ditch. The driver fled and remains unknown, police said.
