A free community dinner will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Aleppo Brethren Church. The menu will include meatball subs, macaroni salad and cake. Take outs are available. For deliveries, call 724-428-9812.
Food will be served Tuesday, Election Day, at Center Township fire hall in Rogersville. The fire company auxiliary will serve food from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Carryouts will be available. The breakfast menu will include sausage, gravy and biscuits; lunch menu, hot dogs, sloppy joes, ham barbecue sandwiches, macaroni salad, cabbage and noodles, desserts and drinks; the dinner menu, creamed chicken and biscuit, mashed potatoes, peas, applesauce, dessert and drinks. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger.
The AARP is holding a driver safety education class at Harveys-Aleppo Grange just east of Graysville on June 1 and 3 from 5 to 9 p.m. Participants must attend both sessions to complete the course. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. Insurance providers are required by law to give a discount to Pennsylvania drivers who complete this course. This class is open to anyone at least 50 years old, and the insurance discount is available to drivers 55 years and older. The Center Township Volunteer Fire Department’s auxiliary will serve Election Day meals Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the fire hall along Route 21 in Rogersville.
