Search continues for shooter in auto parts shop slaying

1 min read

BELLE VERNON, Pa. (AP) — Police were continuing to search for the person who fatally shot a counter worker at an auto parts shop in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Rostraver Township police say 34-year-old Drew Molinari was shot several times by someone wearing a blue hoodie Monday. The suspect walked into Minniti Motor Sports shortly after 8 a.m. Monday.

Only Molinari, of Belle Vernon, and Joe Minniti, who owns the business, were there at the time. Minniti was in the back and didn’t see the shooting, but has told police he heard Molinari yelling as he was shot.

Police don’t know if the suspect ran away or hopped into a vehicle after leaving the shop about 25 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

A series of roadblocks failed to find the suspect.
