Police beat May 14
Disorderly conduct: Ian Nakonechni, 27, of 383 Falling Timber Road, Holbrook, was cited for disorderly conduct and harassment after state police said he pushed a woman to the ground about 2:45 p.m. Saturday at Windy Gap Road in Aleppo Township.
Attempted burglary: State police charged Shawn A. Chesney, 18, of 84 Blackdog Hollow Road, Clarksville, with attempted burglary and criminal mischief after troopers said he tried to break into the Waynesburg Yamaha shop at 100 Elm St. about 6:30 a.m. Monday. Police said Chesney smashed a door handle with a cinder block, causing the alarm system to notify authorities. Troopers found Chesney hiding behind a dumpster several feet away. Chesney was arraigned Monday and taken to Greene County jail on $15,000 bond.
Four cited for fight: State police cited four men for harassment following a fight May 2 at 478 W. Roy Furman Highway in Richhill Township. The following were cited following the fight: Charles E. Tuttle, 64, of 135 Ferrell Ave., Wind Ridge; Charles C. Tuttle, 43, of 216 Nebo Road, West Finley; Ryan Tuttle, 18, of 135 Ferrell Ave., Wind Ridge; and Gary R. Thompson, 61, of 478 W. Roy Furman Highway, Richhill Township. Troopers filed the citations Tuesday and did not elaborate what prompted the fight or if anyone was injured.
Scissors attack: Kyle Gray, 22, of Waynesburg, was charged with simple assault, burglary and harassment after borough police said he forced his way into an acquaintance’s apartment at 75 S. Maiden St. about 12:30 p.m. Monday and cut the woman on her face and legs with scissors. Police said an argument over money prompted the assault. Police filed charges against Gray through District Judge Glenn Bates’ office on Tuesday, but he still had not been located as of Wednesday afternoon.
