Lane closures planned tonight on Interstate 79
The will be southbound lane closures on Interstate 79 from 7 p.m. tonight to 5 a.m. Saturday so bridge sealing can take place. The center lane will be closed on the bridge carrying I-79 over Chartiers Creek in Bridgeville and two lanes will be closed on the bridge carrying the highway over Thoms Run in Collier Township, the state Department of Transportation said.
.Additionally, beginning Monday, bridge deck line striping activities will occur weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday between the Bridgeville and Crafton/Moon Run interchanges. All work is weather permitting.
