Embattled former superintendent to remain district employee in Ohio

1 min read

CINCINNATI (AP) – A former superintendent in suburban Hamilton County will continue to receive his base salary despite resigning amid accusations he pressured teachers to throw out a test his son had failed.

A separation agreement approved Monday will have Forest Hills Local School District pay Dallas Jackson through August 2016 and transfer him to an “employment position” as consultant.

Jackson will also remain on district insurance and will be paid for unused vacation time as of May 31, 2015. Jackson makes more than $147,000 per year.

The agreement also stated no parties formally admitted to anything.

Tom Durbin will serve the remainder of this school year and into next as interim superintendent until a replacement is chosen for the district just east of Cincinnati.
