Man jailed on indecent exposure
A Canonsburg man was arrested Friday night after allegedly exposing himself to three children under the age of 13 including a 12-year-old girl as well as to borough officers who responded to the call.
Kevin Celesnik, 53, of 126 Oak Spring Road, was charged with three counts of indecent exposure and one count each of resisting arrest, open lewdness and public drunkenness.
Police were called about 7:20 p.m. by a neighbor of Celesnik for a report of a man wearing yellow sweat pants who was out by the road, exposing himself.
Officer Matthew Tharp, who filed the charges, said Celesnik reportedly went to a neighbor’s home, claiming the neighbor’s dog had bit him months ago. The two men started arguing and the neighbor reportedly told Celesnik to leave. That is when he allegedly exposed himself to the neighbor and the children, Tharp said.
Celesnik also reportedly asked a 12-year-old girl to put on a bathing suit and dance for him. Tharp said Celesnik, who was highly intoxicated, tried to show the officers where the dog had bit him and pulled down his pants, exposing himself.
When police tried to take Celesnik into custody, he reportedly pulled away. Police had to use a Taser to subdue him.
Celesnik was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond. He is scheduled for a June 5 preliminary hearing before District Judge David Mark.
