READING, Pa. (AP) — Police in eastern Pennsylvania say they have a person in custody in an early morning shooting that killed two people on a Reading and injured a third person.

The Reading Eagle (http://bit.ly/1cZOnDE ) reports that the gunfire in Reading was reported shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Capt. Damond Kloc of the city criminal investigations division said a man and a woman were killed and another man was wounded.

He said officers were within a block or two and found the two bodies on the sidewalk. The third person was found nearby and taken to Reading Hospital, where he spoke to investigators.

Chief William Heim said the crime “does not appear to be a random act at all.”

Officials haven’t released the names of the victims or commented on a motive.
