Police arrest woman in 2014 torture death

1 min read

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A Western Pennsylvania woman has been arrested in the killing of a man who appeared to be tortured before he was found buried under debris on a Pittsburgh hillside last year.

Authorities say 24-year-old Jacquelyn Nuccetelli was arrested Friday in the slaying of 23-year-old Andrew McMunn. The Blawnox resident is charged with criminal homicide, robbery and conspiracy.

Officials say McMunn died of head injuries and suffered nearly 20 stab wounds to the neck and chest. His ear was nearly severed. Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala Jr. said last year it appeared McMunn was tortured before he died.

Online court records didn’t list an attorney for Nuccetelli who could comment on the charges. She’s due in court for a preliminary hearing on June 5.
