PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Police are searching for four suspects after a teenager was shot and killed while riding a bicycle in Philadelphia’s Strawberry Mansion section.

Police say 17 shots rang out along West Sedgley Avenue on Sunday.

The 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were riding their bicycles when the younger boy said they had an altercation with four men in a silver Buick.

They thought it had driven away. But as they were riding down the street, the boys noticed the car pulled over and the shooting started.

The wounded 16-year-old was pronounced dead at a hospital. His name has not been released.

Capt. Nicholas Brown says it could be a road rage incident, but 17 shots is “a lot of shots to fire at two kids on a bike.”
