AAA East Central recognize police for safety efforts
Several law enforcement agencies in Greene and Washington counties were recognized Wednesday by AAA East Central for their department’s efforts in community traffic safety.
The platinum award to “Commendable Leaders” was given to Canonsburg, Cecil Township, McDonald, North Strabane Township, Peters Township, South Strabane Township, Washington and state police.
Gold awards, the second-highest recognition, was given to Chartiers Township, Donora and North Franklin Township police along with the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
Silver awards were given to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and Waynesburg police.
Charleroi Regional police received the bronze award.
