Police Beat Nov. 10
Hit-and-run crash: State police are investigating a hit-and-run crash in which a vehicle struck a pickup truck parked on Route 188 in Jefferson Borough about 10:30 p.m. Sunday. The driver left the scene.
Assault charge: State police charged James R. Gee, 42, of 7 Evergreen Mobile Home Park, Greensboro, with simple assault and harassment after troopers said he pushed a woman to the ground, pulled her hair and punched her in the face during an argument at his residence about 3:45 a.m. Sunday. Gee was arraigned by District Judge Louis Dayich and released on $7,500 bond.
Domestic dispute: James Edwin Orndoff Jr., 37, of 73 S. Cumberland Ave., Waynesburg, was charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness Friday night. Waynesburg police said Orndoff struck a woman and 10-year-old girl at his residence shortly after 8 p.m., and later resisted when officers tried to place him in handcuffs. District Judge Louis Dayich arraigned Orndoff, who was released on $5,000 bond.
