Xi Lambda Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in Jefferson Community Center. Hostesses will be Vickie Funk and Connie Loughman.
Smith Cemetery Co. will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 at 230 Kennel Road, Waynesburg.
Washington County Gay Straight Alliance will host a candlelight walk through downtown Washington on Nov. 20 to recognize Transgender Day of Remembrance. All are welcome to participate. The program will begin at 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Wheeling St. This is the third year WCGSA has held this national event, which honors transgender people who have died to to violence, hate and discrimination.
