A North Strabane Township man remains in Washington County jail on a $25,000 bond after he allegedly choked, hit and threatened his girlfriend early Wednesday.

Brian Leek, 29, of 177 Boone Ave., was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Curtis Thompson on charges of simple assault, harassment and terroristic threats.

Leek is accused of pushing the woman to the ground, choking her and punching her in the face several times after getting upset at his home. The woman told police that Leek told her, “No one is going to hear you. You are going to die,” according to the criminal affidavit.

The woman’s face and the fingers on her right hand were bruised, police said.

While police were talking with the woman, Leek left his residence and attempted to drive away. He was ordered by police to stop and was arrested.

Leek’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 25.
