Claysville woman, daughter arrested
A Claysville woman and her daughter were arrested Sunday by Donegal Township police after reportedly getting into a physical altercation with police from several departments called to assist with a domestic dispute.
Katrina L. Lee, 50, of 240 Wayne St., Claysville, and Jessica Gregg, 29, of 197 Brookside Ave., Washington, were taken into custody after township police were called to Lee’s home for a dispute. When police arrived, the officer said they found Lee, Gregg and two men yelling at one another and in an agitated state, according to court documents.
Police said Gregg started to walk away, and the officer put an arm on her to stop her. He also sought assistance from other departments. North Franklin Township, Washington and state police officers arrived to help.
When police tried to take Gregg into custody, she allegedly started fighting with them. Trooper Zachary Webb received a cut on his forehead in the scuffle. North Franklin police Officer David Borkowski had to use a Taser in the stun mode to subdue Gregg, police said. Lee also allegedly got into a physical altercation with police as they tried to take her daughter into custody.
Police said the argument reportedly was over the custody of Gregg’s child with one of the men at the home. The paternal grandmother took temporary custody of the child, police said.
Both women were arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson. Lee is charged with one count each of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, while Gregg faces two counts of aggravated assault and resisting arrest in addition to one count of disorderly conduct.
Lee was released from Washington County jail Monday morning after posting a $20,000 percentage bond, and Gregg was released after posting a $25,000 percentage bond. Both are scheduled for preliminary hearings Nov. 30 before District Judge Ethan Ward.
