There will be a community dinner in Rogersville at the United Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday. The dinner is a week earlier than usual this month. The meal will include baked ziti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and beverage. Dinner is free, although donations are accepted. Carryout is available and everyone is welcome. The Daughters of Grace Women’s Choir will present “Bless This House: A Benefit for the City Mission” at 7 p.m. Friday in the sanctuary of Greene Valley Presbyterian Church in Carmichaels. The Psalm 150 Hand Bell Choir, under the direction of Bethany May, will be featured on several selections. Pianist Carilyn Beabout will accompany the choir. Donna Bussey will share about the work and needs of the Washington City Mission, especially following the recent fire that damaged their facility. A freewill offering will be received for the City Mission. Admission is free.
The John Corbly Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at noon Saturday at the Perfect Round Restaurant at Rohanna’s Golf Course. Buzz Walters of the Toys for Tots program will be the speaker. Members are asked to bring a toy for the program.
Waynesburg Lions Club is starting its annual Holiday Koeze nut & candy campaign sale. The club is selling a variety of Koeze products that can be purchased at several local businesses, including, Humble’s Carpeting & Decorating, McCracken’s Pharmacy, Community Bank branches on Greene Street, at Greene Plaza and in Carmichaels, First National Bank in Dry Tavern, Wade’s Body Shop, Waynesburg Milling Co. and from any Lions Club member.
