A minivan hit a telephone pole and flipped over on its roof in the 500 block of East Beau Street on Tuesday. The vehicle was carrying three small children. No one was injured.

Traffic is closed in the 500 block of East Beau Street after a minivan hit a telephone pole and flipped Tuesday.

A minivan with three children inside flipped in the 500 block of East Beau Street in East Washington as the female driver swerved into a utility pole at about 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
The children and the driver were not injured, but were taken to Washington Hospital for precautionary evaluations.
The utility pole was sheared and traffic was redirected from McKennan Avenue to North Wade Avenue.
