Washington police charge several for drugs
Washington police filed drug charges against several people stemming from various incidents in the city.
Leon Lee McClain Jr., 26, of 102 Jollick Manor, Washington, was charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia after he was found Monday passed out in a coin-operated laundry at 820 W. Chestnut St. He also was charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia in a Sept. 21 incident at the intersection of Wylie and Jefferson avenues.
Mykhael T. Kelley, 22, of 140 W. Wylie Ave., Washington, was charged with possession of paraphernalia and marijuana and disorderly conduct after he was found with the drug May 17 in the 700 block of Jefferson Avenue.
Jason Carpenter, 22, of 25 Midland Drive, Washington, was charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia after he allegedly overdosed at 217 Jefferson Ave. on Nov. 6.
Stephen Plance, 37, of Pittsburgh, was charged with possession of Suboxone after he was stopped Sept. 25 in the 500 block of Jefferson Avenue.
Edwena Whipkey, 32, of 210 N. Franklin St., was charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia after police were called to her home June 19 when she reportedly overdosed.
The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
