The Town and Country Garden Club’s Cookie Walk Luncheon at Carmichaels Activity Center on Sunday afternoon featured more than 330 dozen homemade cookies baked by club members.

Customers lined up and club members filled their boxes with cookies, with each box being weighed and paid for by the pound at the end of the line.

This was the 12th annual Cookie Walk fundraiser to support the club’s scholarship fund.

A $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior from one of the five school districts in Greene County. The 2015 recipient, Gavin Koratich from Jefferson-Morgan, is attending Washington & Jefferson College, and was the 24th scholarship winner.

Koratich, along with Carmichaels Area High School students in the National Honor Society, and friends and family members volunteered for day.

The quilt raffle featured a queen-size quilt made by club member Marion Walker. A Chinese auction and door prize completed the event.
