Travis Snyder gets a complete Thanksgiving dinner from the Rice Energy Blue Crew volunteers who served more than 500 people Saturday at the Waynesburg Readiness Center. Many diners arrived courtesy of buses that were sent to various sites around Greene County, and many drove themselves and their families to enjoy good food and to take home a winter coat, compliments of Rice Energy employee donations. Rice Energy is partnering with Greene County Food Security and the Salvation Army Kettle Drive this year. Leftover winter coats will be taken to Salvation Army Warehouse on First Street, Waynesburg. Blue Crew, an employee volunteer program, launched in June 2015. With 375 employees, 90 percent of which are local, Rice Energy has made a commitment to spread the power of positive energy through volunteerism in local neighborhoods. Blue Crew has donated 1,295 hours of personal time to bettering communities where Rice Energy conducts business.
