Man dies after explosion at Hanover auto service business
One person is dead after an explosion early Wednesday at Myers Auto Service, 409 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, Hanover Township police Chief Stan Henry said. Henry identified him as 45-year-old Gary Myers.
Henry said Myers was working on a boat outside the garage when an explosion occurred at about 1 a.m. State police and emergency personnel were called, but family members drove Myers to Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center. He was then flown to West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he died at 9:30 a.m. today.
Hanover volunteer firefighters were also called to the scene. Hanover police are at the scene and are investigating.
