Police beat Nov. 26
Rash of thefts: Centerville police are investigating a rash of thefts from motor vehicles that occurred from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday. Police said the suspect entered a number of unlocked vehicles and rummaged through them. Police remind residents to be aware of suspicious activity and lock their doors.
Pickles thrown: A resident of the 300 block of Fox Run Road told Peters police Tuesday dill pickles were thrown at her “PT Willing to Wait” sign in her front yard.
Theft charge: David Pepper, 22, of 3190 W. Chestnut St., faces theft and criminal mischief charges filed Monday by state police. Police said he allegedly stolen a Polaris all-terrain vehicle in February from a home in South Franklin Township in February. It was recovered June 29 but was damaged, police said. The charges will proceed by summons.
Assault charge: Jeremy David McClain, 27, of 355 Allison Ave., was charged Monday by Washington police with simple assault after allegedly choking a woman on Sept. 7 at a home on North Franklin Street. The charge will proceed by summons.
Assault charge: William Jones, 18, of 609 N. Main St., will be charged by summons with simple assault, Washington police said, after he allegedly assaulted another patient, Jesse Cintella, as the two were being treated Tuesday at Washington Hospital.
