Corruption of minors: An Arizona man was jailed early Thursday after he allegedly provided four bottles of liquor to two minors before they were found passed out, Chartiers Township police said. Chad Everett Manakaja, 21, of Phoenix, was arrested on charges of corruption of minors, providing alcohol to minors and reckless endangerment after police found two minors passed out at a residence at 211 Third St. The minors were taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Manakaja was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in the Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.
Vehicle break-in: A vehicle was broken into Friday morning as a group of four people was shopping at Tanger Outlets, South Strabane police said. Several packages were stolen after they were left in sight inside the vehicle. Police Chief Don Zofchak said an arrest is expected after a suspect reportedly tried to return the gifts.
Vehicle crash: An unidentified driver crashed a vehicle along Zediker Station Road about 8 p.m. Thursday, South Strabane police said. The driver was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and blood was drawn to determine the alcohol content. Police could not immediately provide the driver’s name or further details.
