W. Virginia police search for man after double homicide
MARLINTON, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia police are searching for man they say is a person of interest in a double homicide in Pocahontas County.
Lt. Michael Baylous said in a statement early Saturday that a trooper from the Marlinton Detachment was conducting a welfare check at a home in Marlinton Friday when the trooper found two homicide victims. Baylous didn’t identify the victims or specify how they were killed.
Baylous says Aaron J. Bussard is a person of interest in the homicides and is considered armed and dangerous. People with information of his whereabouts are being asked to contact State Police.
Police say one of the victims’ cars was missing from the home and they have developed probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant for Bussard for stealing the vehicle.
