Three people were arrested, one by Monongahela police and two by the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force, in connection with alleged sales of controlled substances in Monongahela.

Jacob Woods, 18, of 55 Hoon St., Monongahela, was arrested Sunday afternoon by Monongahela police on charges of criminal use of a communications facility, possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of paraphernalia and driving without a license following a traffic stop at the intersection of Mounds and Vine streets.

Anthony Labryer, 40, and Vicki Charlton, 41, both of 511 Fourth St., Monongahela, were arrested Thursday on warrants obtained Wednesday by the task force on charges of criminal use of a communications facility, possession and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Woods was spotted about 1:25 p.m. Police, in court documents, stated they knew he had a suspended driver’s license.

After police asked him to get out of his vehicle, Woods reportedly reached into his right pocket and tried to turn away. An officer grabbed Woods and asked him what was in his pocket. Woods allegedly told police he had heroin in his pocket and would cooperate with officers. Police said they found him with 42 stamp bags of suspected heroin and several pills, including Hydrocodone. In checking his cellphone, police said they found several text messages sent to Woods using slang about purchasing drugs.

Charlton and Labryer are accused of selling Adderall, a drug sometimes prescribed for attention deficit disorder, to a confidential informant in November during an arranged meeting at an intersection in Monongahela. Six pills were purchased for $42, authorities said.

All three were arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller. Woods was released from Washington County jail early Monday after posting $25,000 bond. Charlton and Labryer remained in jail Monday on $5,000 bonds. The three will have preliminary hearings this month before District Judge Mark Wilson.
