PennDOT sets work schedule
The state Department of Transportation released its work plan for Greene County roads next week.
Maintenance activities are conducted weather permitting. County maintenance manager Jerry Simkovic urges motorists to drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights.
• Bridge replacement on state Route 1023 in Cumberland Township.
• Crack sealing will continue on Route 18 and Route 21 in Franklin Township, west of Waynesburg.
• Shoulder cutting and grading on state Route 2004, Taylorstown Road in Dunkard Township and on state Route 2024 on Little Chicago Road in Monongahela Township.
• Pothole patching continuing on Route 19 in Franklin Township and Waynesburg Borough, Route 21 in Richhill, Gray and Center townships and on state Route 3005 in Aleppo Township.
• Paving slide repair scheduled for state Route 3007 in Richhill Township south of Dividing Ridge Road.
• Drainage and joint sealing will begin on Interstate 79 in Washington Township.
• Slide repair on state Route 2003, Patterson Run Road in Whiteley Township.
• Shoulder widening on state Route 3016, McCracken Road, in Aleppo Township.
• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated on state roads throughout the county.
