Western Pa. man accused of plotting to kill ex-boss
LOWER BURRELL (AP) – Police have arrested a Western Pennsylvania man who they say planned to shoot his former boss.
Fifty-seven-year-old Anthony Heasley is charged with attempted homicide, having an instrument of crime, terroristic threats and other offenses.
Police say Heasley was arrested around 3 p.m. Tuesday in Lower Burrell.
A rifle, which wasn’t loaded, and ammunition was found in Heasley’s vehicle along with prescription pain killers, antidepressants and beer.
Family members told police Heasley wanted to kill his former boss at Leed’s, a promotional supplies company in Westmoreland County.
Heasley resigned from Leed’s on Oct. 2.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 20.
It is not known if he has a lawyer who can comment on the charges.
