Burgettstown men face arson, burglary charges
Two Burgetts- town men were charged with burglary, theft and arson after a burned vehicle was found in Smith Township.
Conner Bartoletti, 18, of 68 Danna Drive, and Paul Bartoletti, 20, of 66C Barington Road, were charged Thursday with burglary, theft, arson, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, criminal mischief and criminal trespass after Conner Bartoletti admitted to stealing his former employer’s delivery van and setting it on fire, McDonald police said.
Conner Bartoletti was employed by Lily’s A Flower Boutique, 1924 S. Main St., but was let go near the end of September. On Sept. 26, the boutique’s owner, Sandy Kotwica, reported to police her delivery van was stolen. Conner Bartoletti admitted to stealing the vehicle with his cousin, Paul Bartoletti, and torching it at the slate dumps in Smith Township. The vehicle was found Oct. 6.
Both men were arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bonds. Preliminary hearings are scheduled for Oct. 28
