Action: At the request of the parks and recreation department, the board approved an easement with ETC Northeast Pipeline LLC, which will pay $11,050 for a pipe’s easement to be bored beneath .38 acres of Panhandle Trail property. The county will not permit disturbance of the trail surface.
At the request of the planning department, the commissioners approved a $4,883 increase in the cost of staining concrete at the Barr Bridge, Chapel Hill Road, over Mingo Creek, to be paid by state taxpayers.
On behalf of the Children and Youth Services department, the board ratified the application for a $50,000 grant to the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency to support a forensic case coordinator/community liaison position at A Child’s Place at Washington next year.
At the request of the adult probation department, the commissioners approved an amendment to a contract with the Washington Drug and Alcohol Commission Inc. for treatment of drug and alcohol offenders at a cost of $257,571, to be paid for through grants of taxpayers’ dollars.
