Three arrested in drug case
Three Donora residents were charged with drug offenses after neighbors complained of heavy foot and vehicle traffic at their home along the 300 block of First Street.
Lynette L. Dalla Valle, 53, Nicole Corle, 28, and Sean P. Cowell, 43, all of 331 First St., were charged Sunday with possession of heroin, eight counts each of possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of children and manufacturing, delivering or possessing heroin. Corle was charged with 50 counts of possession of heroin, driving without a license and concealing evidence. Dalla Valle and Cowell were charged with 45 counts of heroin possession.
The trio were arrested Friday after Donora police said they saw Corle driving when they knew her operating privileges had been revoked. Officers followed her home and attempted to talk to her about the complaints. Cowell was in the vehicle at the time.
Corle allegedly ignored officers commands to stop and talk, entered the home and then quickly re-emerged. She admitted that drugs were in the home and told officers were they could be found, police said.
Dalla Valle was inside the home and reportedly told police that a fireproof safe full of heroin was in an upstairs bedroom. The safe was kept in the same room as three young children, police said.
Dalla Valle, Corle and Cowell were arraigned Sunday before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in the county jail on $50,000 bonds. Preliminary hearings have been scheduled for Oct. 30.
