Charged for alarms: Linda Mickulicz, 65, of 724 Orchard St., California, was charged by California police with violating a borough ordinance for reportedly allowing her security alarms to go off an unreasonable number of times, causing police response. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Underage drinking: Joshua James Kreig, 20, and Daren Jacob Reinhart, 20, both of Elizabeth, will be charged with underage drinking and drinking in public after they were seen drinking alcoholic beverages as they walked in the 500 block of Green Street Friday night.
Harassment charge: Demetric Adams, 25, of Mc- Kees Rocks, was charged by Charleroi Regional police with harassment for allegedly grabbing Heather Beaumont by the arm during an argument early Friday in the 800 block of Fallowfield Avenue.
Warrant arrest: Cody Wright, 31, of White Oak, was taken into custody early Monday on an outstanding Westmoreland County bench warrant during a traffic stop on 13th Street. He was released to Westmoreland deputies.
Welder stolen: Joe Sanpietro, 390, Chartiers Run Road, told Chartiers police Sunday a wire welder was stolen in a burglary at his home.
Assault investigated: North Strabane police are investigating an alleged assault Monday afternoon between two residents of Greenery Rehabilitation, 2200 Route 519. A 57-year-old woman was reportedly grabbed by a 57-year-old man during an event in the activities room. The woman told police she injured her shoulder.
Car hits deer: Two people received minor injuries when the vehicle they were in hit a deer Monday in the 2900 block of Washington Road. Township police said a car driven by Aase Fraser, 74, of Wayne, was northbound when the deer jumped in front of her vehicle. Both Fraser and her passenger, Joyce Smith, 75, of Lattidome Drive, Pittsburgh, declined treatment at the scene.
Driver injured: Chad Caruso, 22, of Monongahela, was slightly injured early Saturday when he apparently fell asleep as he drove north on Pittsburgh Road near Carlton Drive, Somerset. State police said his vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes, hit a wall and chain link fence, and then rolled over.
Three-vehicle crash: Cassie DeStefano, 28, of Monessen, was injured in a three-vehicle crash about 5 p.m. Monday on Interstate 70 east, Speers. State police said a tractor-trailer driven by Barbara Palmer, 56, Greensburg, struck the rear of DeStefano’s vehicle as she slowed, pushing it into the back of a pickup truck driven by John McConnell, 27, of New Stanton. DeStefano was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment.
Faces charges: Donald Allen, 46, of 360 E. Hallam Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and driving with a suspended license, DUI-related, stemming from a traffic stop early Tuesday in the 10 block of Oak Alley. Police knew Allen had a suspended license and stopped him. He got out of his vehicle and was walking away, reportedly ignoring police orders to stop. Allen reportedly struggled with police as they tried to take him into custody. An officer’s uniform shirt was ripped in the scuffle, police said. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Assault reported: Desiree Powell, 29, of Maple Terrace, told Washington police Monday she was assaulted early Thursday at her home by a Pittsburgh man she met on the Internet. The man she knows only as “Chaz” reportedly punched her, giving her a black eye.
Account accessed: Ralph Ferraro, of Fayette Street, told Washington police Monday that his bank account was used to make a $120 Paypal payment for a purchase he did not authorize.
Theft arrests: Krystal Diamond Renee White, 19, of Randallstown, Md., is charged by state police with retail theft and criminal mischief, accused of placing $199.50 worth of merchandise in her backpack and attempting to leave Walmart at 134 Daniel Kendall Drive about 6 p.m. Monday, court records show. Taylor Yvonne Moran, 18, of Pittsburgh, faces the same charges and allegations. White is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson. Moran is free on $5,000 bond.
