An Avonmore woman was arrested Tuesday on charges she stole $2,200 worth of office equipment while she briefly worked at a construction company in Allenport in a case that also led to the Oct. 12 arrest of her boyfriend.

Healey Elizabeth Mazur, 21, was arrested on a warrant signed by District Judge Larry Hopkins charging her with theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly not returning items to Custom Craft Construction, whose owner hired her as a secretary Aug. 1, state police noted in the court record.

Her boyfriend, Matthew W. Galmoff, 29, was already arrested in the case via a video arraignment at Armstrong County jail, where he is being held on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court in the case.

Police accuse Galmoff of stealing $7,000 from the company owned by Joseph Friel after being hired there the same day to manage the company, the affidavit indicates. He also is accused of costing Friel $490 in fees from another company he used to attract business after Galmoff allegedly rerouted customers to himself, the record show.

Galmoff is charged with four counts of theft and one count each of identity theft, access device fraud and receiving stolen property. He is due to appear for a preliminary hearing in the case Nov. 9.

Friel told police he hired the couple after Galmoff responded to an ad he placed in area newspapers seeking a manager at his company at 2 Mallard St.

Mazur is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
