Police beat Oct. 30
No injuries: No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday on Route 21 near Murtha Drive. Police said Haddie Baysinger, 79, of Waynesburg drove through a restricted lane as she traveled east toward Murtha Drive. Her vehicle sideswiped an eastbound vehicle traveling in the left lane operated by James Brady, 60, of Clarksburg, W.Va.
Theft: About $150 was stolen from the wallet of a 70-year-old woman while she was at the Cherry Door on Elm Street about 10:15 a.m. Oct. 23, state police said.
Crash: No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash at 1:29 p.m. Sunday on Route 88, state police said. Police said John W. Shaver, 45, of Farmington, W.Va. swerved to avoid striking a deer. His vehicle ran off the road and hit a guardrail.
Assault: Alex S. Uveges, 42, of Nemacolin was charged with simple assault after he allegedly threatened a woman with a weapon Monday at a house at 172 Robina Road, state police said.
