Woman struck by vehicle in Washington
A pedestrian suffered minor injuries when she was hit by a vehicle turning right onto East Maiden Street from Elm Street about 8:25 a.m. today.
According to initial police reports, the glaring sun blinded the driver, who hit the victim while traveling about 10 mph as the pedestrian crossed the 500 block of East Maiden.
The victim, who declined to be identified, said she was taking herself for medical treatment after suffering an ankle injury. She was walking around at the scene. She said she was clipped by the vehicle and ended up on its hood.
