The Board of Directors of the Washington Health System-Greene hospital auxiliary will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the fourth floor conference room of the hospital.
The annual “Town-Wide Yard Sale” in Rogersville will begin at 8 a.m. The Center Township Volunteer Fire Department’s auxiliary will sell food and drinks beginning at 9 a.m. All available table space in the fire hall parking lot has been reserved, but the auxiliary will accept donations of items that can be sold. Waynesburg University is offering a free professional development opportunity entitled “Oral History and the Long Civil Rights Movement.” The “Teaching with Primary Sources” course features methods and materials from the Library of Congress on the topic of Civil Rights in America, and will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on six Tuesday evenings beginning Sept. 29 and ending Nov. 3.
