Police beat Sept. 5

Drug charges: Cumberland Township police charged William A. Welsh Jr., 47, of 220 Inwood Ave., Carmichaels, with two counts of possession with intent to deliver and one charge of possession of a controlled substance after officers said they found him with several bundles of heroin during a traffic stop shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday on Route 88. Police said Welsh also had several active bench warrants against him.

Terroristic threats: Judy S. Ross, 61, of 132 Sigsbee Road, Greensboro, was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment after state police said she pointed a gun at her tenant living at a Hilltop Court residence about 1:45 p.m. Thursday. Police said she threatened to shoot the 54-year-old man after they got into an argument over her cats on the property.
