Man found shot to death in Pittsburgh’s Hill District

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Police in Western Pennsylvania are asking for help from the public in finding the person who shot and killed a man in Pittsburgh’s Hill District.

Police said an officer on patrol in the Upper Hill area heard shots fired at about 10 p.m. Sunday.

He found a man lying in the street with at least one gunshot wound. The officer began CPR until paramedics arrived, but the man was pronounced dead less than 10 minutes later.

The victim’s name wasn’t immediately released. Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call homicide detectives.
