Cumberland police investigating suspicious dog deaths

1 min read

Cumberland Township police are investigating the suspicious deaths of three local dogs.

Two dogs from Nemacolin and one dog from Carmichaels died unexpectedly within the last two weeks, Cumberland Township police Chief Craig Miller said.

Police are investigating to determine whether the dogs were poisoned, Miller said.

Miller urged people in the region to keep a close watch of their dogs while they are outside.

“People need to be vigilant,” Miller said. “If they see anything suspicious, make sure to contact police.”

He said dog owners should check their yards for any suspicious or abnormal objects and to stay outside with their dogs for the time being.
